Nominate Pro Bono and Philanthropic Programs
for Community Leadership Awards
There are many financial planners and advisors as well as FPA Chapters who are volunteering their time and expertise to improve the lives of many individuals in their communities. While these efforts are being offered through generous hearts and not for recognition, you can provide recognition for their efforts to give back to their communities, through a nomination for the Community Leadership Awards. The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation and InvestmentNews sponsor the awards.
In its second year, the Community Leadership Awards are designed to honor the achievements of the financial planners’ and advisors’ volunteer contributions in their communities. While not limited to just pro bono and financial literacy efforts, it is an opportunity for these pro bono programs to be recognized through this award process.
A $10,000 donation will be made by the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation to each category award winner’s charity. You might want to consider the Foundation for Financial Planning as one of your charities when submitting a nomination. Either way, this is a great way to recognize the unselfish contributions of so many planners and FPA chapters. FPA Chapters are eligible under the Group Award (Volunteer Team Award) category.
Please click here for more information about the awards and to download a nomination form.
The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation was begun by LPL Financial and has added the Foundation for Financial Planning to its list of recognized charities for contributions made by LPL Financial Advisors.
